Nationality of Corporations
The nationality of a corporation is determined by law and not by the corporation and/or its subsidiaries. It is the test or tests, as provided by law, that should prevail in determining the nationality of a corporation, and not its representations and/or those of its subsidiaries. Updates on the Public Service Act: What is a Public Utility?
Republic Act No. 11659 or An Act Amending Commonwealth Act No. 146, otherwise known as the Public Service Act, as amended, was signed into law on March 21, 2022. One of the notable features of this law is the inclusion of a definition for “Public Utility”, a term that was undefined in both the 1987 Constitution and the old Public Service Act.

A mere breach of a promise to marry is not an actionable wrong, as long as it is not of such extent as would palpably and unjustifiably contradict good customs. In any case, the party seeking to recover damages must have acted in good faith.
